All summer, Thane would say…”In August, I get to go to Primary.”

Primary is a big deal.

Primary is where the big kids go to school.

You get to play on the big playground with bikes.

You take your shoes off and put on your slippers when you get in the classroom.

You get to take fun classes like Tumbling and Guitar.

There are no babies in the classroom!

We were ready-ing ourselves for Thane’s big adjustment. Getting him new slippers, photos of the family, even a plant to care for. He was going to be a Robin and with his friends Madeleine, Travis and Trevor. It was all very exciting and he was very ready to move to his new environment.

Then we got quite the shock…Mara was moving up too! She would be a Chickadee (or a Toddler 2 girl!). Wow! Toddler 2 means toilet training, changing clothes, more and more responsibilities. And…MORE TALKING. Seeing as we had been so anxious for her just to walk and move to T1, this move to T2 was a surprise for us. Good surprise, but still a surprise. Mara is the second youngest in the class, so it should be an adventure.

We were not expecting this but how exciting to have two kiddos moving up in class this year. Lots of new stuff to learn. I will tell you that in the two short weeks since school started, we can already see a huge difference in both of them, although we have heard that drama queen does not like to put her work away.
