It has been a busy, busy week. That is the reason for the lack of posts. Thanos and I went to our first hockey game together Friday night to watch daddy get the tar beaten out of his team. We left around the 3rd period but had so much fun until then. Thane was appropriately bundled in several layers and he is finally big enough to fit in the Baby Bjorn.
Saturday John and Trisha came over with stories of their wedding and honeymoon and to-die-for cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory. Yumm! Uncle John was very eager to hold the baby, feed the baby, well, no, not change the baby (we tried), could this be telling of things to come???
Day 25-Saturday

The rest of the weekend was pretty uneventful, nothing too exciting to report, just hanging out at home. Sunday night was when my perfect little schedule tarted to crumble.

I was so impressed with how well Thane was doing on his every 3 hour feeding schedule. I had it down to a science. Wake, change, feed, sleep, lather, rinse, repeat. Sunday night that all came crashing down to EVERY 2 HOURS! Considering it takes 40 minutes for a feeding, that was me getting nada in the sleep department, even during the day. Monday I paid the price. I was in tears and could not move my neck from my poor posture during feedings (advice to new moms, be aware of how you sit when you ooh and aah over your little one!). I visited Dr. Selby who literally put me in traction and then gave me heat therapy that worked wonders.
You can really get a feel for our lack of sleep with this photo, Day 27-Monday

Monday night I took a long walk, called every mom I knew, then got a hold of Lisa Marie who firmly planted my feet back on the ground and stopped me from hyperventilating. Thanks LM.
Tuesday I met the girls for lunch at McAllisters. It was so good to see them and chat mommy stuff and other stuff too. I like this new club I am a proud member of!

Tuesday was also Thane’s due date….

Wednesday was a bit chaotic, starting with going to the chiropractor for the third time this week. I was also convinced the night before that what Rachel told me about Carter had happened to Thane’s circumcision as well (Thanks, Rachel) so I called the doctor and wound up with a 4:15 appointment. I was just being typical Steph though and the circumcision is fine. Jay and I did get some good tips on how to change the waking habits though (which includes making him cry it out for greater lengths of time) and I started that last night, which seems to have improved things a little (I got 3 and half hours of sleep at one point!).
No picture yesterday (bad mommy), but I do have video! I will try to load it when I figure out how!
