A VERY quick update and then we are heading out again.

8 am: Arrived at Doctor’s office
8-9 am: Monitored for contractions, they were happening every 5 minutes
9:30: Checked cervix-told it was a “soft” 2.5 and I was 80% effaced–told to take a walk and eat something:
10-11 am: Walked at Centennial Park and saw geese
11:15-12:00: Lunch at Sitar
12-12:30: Post Office
1 pm: Home to let boys out, walk around block then head back to doctor’s office

Contractions are getting pretty painful right about now. I have hit or pinched Jay a half dozen times, especially when he cheers on the painful ones (Dr. Wise said they had to have me doubled over to be productive).

Dr. Wise also predicted we will most likely have the baby today or tomorrow.

Today might be the day.

I spoke with Melissa at Dr. Wise’s office yesterday morning. Per her instructions, I was to take my “last” pill at midnight this morning, not eat or drink anything other than water after 12 am, and see her in her office for my weekly at 8:30 am. If I go into labor, she will deliver me before midnight tonight.

Jay and I don’t know how we feel about this….

Friday was a reality check-we realized Thanos was coming whether we were ready or not. A couple of weeks ago I made a list and stuck it on the fridge. I am happy to report that we have made excellent progress on that list now. I am also both proud and embarassed to say that after a year of living here, we have hung pictures on the wall and unpacked all necessary boxes!
