Three years…2006…1991…1922….What do they signify? Well, I’ll tell ya what they signify, wiseguy! 2006…the year of Mary Beth’s Birthday party….1991…the year she received the Murder Mystery Game as a birthday gift…1922…the year of da murder. Eeek!

Picture this, Chicago…Hal Capone has been murdered and someone in dis room done it.

I was Molly, the flapper/socialite. Jay was Billy, the all-star pitcher. Terry, played the role of Socks, the famous golfer, as a stand in for Tom, who was stranded out in North Dakota and could not make it down.

Bernie was the murderess. I knew she looked guilty! Barry (my partner in crime for the evening) and Geneva hosted a fantastic event in their beautiful backyard and made some very authentic martinis. Bart looked very dapper, even if he was a smarmy character! Mary Beth played a very authentic pick pocket reporter-hey, where’d my wallet go?!?!

The evening ended with our very own crime caper…that hit much too close to home. There was a rapid knock on the door and a request for Barry to rescue a neighbor in distress from glass in her foot. Turns out, she stepped in the remnants of three cars’ windows that were shattered on the street. Some people in a Black Jeep SUV had BB gunned the windows, shattering them. Geneva and Bart had 2 windows each smashed and Bernie had 3 from her minivan shattered. We spent the remainder of the evening talking to police and cleaning up the mess. The perps are still on the loose!!!

Is it Letterman or Leno who does the crazy ads?

The last week has gone much smoother, mainly because we got the powers that be in involved. My passport arrived in record time. The VISAs have been ordered and we should have them tomorrow. The plane tickets have been booked (BNA–>Cincy–>Paris–>Bombay then Bombay–>Paris–>Atlanta–>Nashvegas). And…we have started our immunization routines.

Hepatitis, Typhoid, Malaria…oh, my!

…we had our Hepatitis B shot at Dr. Yoneyama’s office. I got to go first. This was tantamount to going last in feeding the cake at the wedding. If I went first, I could play up the pain bit for him, instead of vice versa. So I am moaning and groaning and ouching the whole way through. What do I get from him when it is his turn in the chair? Not so much as a grimace! Men!

We are now in countdown phase…T-12 days and counting…Lots to do between now and then.

Anybody have some good book recommendations???
